This is a two-part Boot Camp with Mary Jane Reher, one of our Accounting Instructors. This boot camp is designed to prepare students for the course, especially if they have not taken Accounting.
Accounting Boot Camp Schedule:
Session 1 of 2: Saturday, August 12 - 9-10:30am CT
Session 2 of 2: Saturday, August 19 - 9-10:30am CT

While the boot camp will be recorded, participants should ideally attend both sessions.
In this boot camp, students will learn to:
1. Identify 4 financial statements; including uses and users. Discuss GAAP and accounting principles.
2. Reproduce a sample Income Statement & Balance Sheet and classify and explain account types.
3. Recognize the role of accruals vs cash, estimates, and assumptions in financial reports.
4. Identify information in and navigate around an actual company 10K annual report.
Limited to 15 students and preference is given to those taking Accounting in the Fall term.
